Option to show product images via carousel#17
The product media looks very untidy/chaotic and it takes too much space on the product page. Since this pages it’s appearance is very important, I really would like the product images in a carousel to be an option.
Interesting. Noura, do you have an example that you can share with us? We’ve worked really hard to make this area tidy. Perhaps there’s an implementation that we missed. Screenshots appreciated.
I can pull in some extra info, as I was chatting with Noura! Essentially, Noura has product images that don’t look their best in the thumbnails, as they’re shown now, so Noura as looking for an option to show the product image thumbnails via carousel instead.

Here I have an example. Now it shows all the pictures, but instead I would really like an option to hide them so you can just slide through the pictures instead.
Ahhh, yes. Good example! I think this is a great idea for a feature.

Since nothing has been updated in regards to this request in the last 9 months, here is a solution I came up with for a client:

I’m still modifying it at the time of writing this comment so this is not the finished product but definitely usable and in my opionion much better than than the default product layout.
P.s. I’m not associated in any way with the Spark Shopify Theme, just sharing my personal solution and thought others could benefit from this because it took me a bit of time to work my way through this theme… so use at your own risk.
